is it possible for a 24k gold ring to have an adjustable band?
My husband went out of the country recently and came back with a ring for me that had an adjustable band. The dealer told him it was 24 k gold and my husband paid over 200 us dollars for it, since he has come back though people have been saying you cant get a real gold ring with an adjustable band, so we were just wondering if anyone on here would know if a real gold ring can have an adjustable band.
The ring might be fake. Real gold, or 24 kt gold isn’t sturdy enough to make jewelry from. It’s too soft and not suitable for jewelry.
Gold is usually mixed with other metals (or alloys) to create jewelry. Your ring might be 10 kt gold, 18 kt, or 22 kt gold.
